I just found you through Rachel @ Small Notebook. I, too, love my Sundays for worshipping the Lord, attending church, resting, and enjoying our quiet family time. The rest of the world has no idea what glorious benefits they are missing by foregoing the Sabbath rest – chasing anything except Jesus that day is fruitless.

Kelly, I enjoyed your post – brings back memories, I lived in Israel for a year and became a Sabbath fan! My mom, who has health issues, lived in Jerusalem for 5 years and was never better! They would often stay in their Pj’s on the Sabbath – church was conveniently on a different day – no one did much on the sabbath. I find now just doing a bit extra the day before makes such a difference!

I’d love to read these books, so please count me in for your giveaway draw. It’s the kind of issue one would like to be very clear on as a family in advance, esp if it turns out you have budding sportsmen/women…too soon to say if we do!

Hiya – I shouldn’t really be commenting as I recently won a tea towel (yay! I never win anything) but I guess I am becomming a bit of a fan. I find this Sabbath rest thing especially challenging right now but am so aware that I need to get myself straightened out so that I can teach my kids the right thing. Lord help me! Thanks for encouragement Se7en.
