I presume she's meaning a teddy or doll some children carry around with them? If this is so, I would think it very traumatic for a child to have its 'security toy' taken away from them as punishment even if only temporarily. But that's just my personal opinion ... I have no paediatric or psychology degree .... just the experience of being a Mom! Thanks for a great blog as always.
