This is such a great series and this book doesn’t fail:

Esther, God's Invisible Hand.jpg

It is no secret that Esther is Hood #3’s all time favorite Bible Story… and it is one story that Christian and Jewish children both know in great detail!!! It is such a great story to act out – because there are lots of goodies and baddies… there is a magnificent banquet there is a malicious plot… all in all great fun for your young dramatists to act out.

The fact of the matter is that while there is so much fun in this story, the story is a serious one, deadly serious. In a book where God is not mentioned, even once, we can see the hand of God at almost every turn. All the “what if” moments in this story come together as our heroine finally saves the day and rescues her nation from certain death. And she wasn’t just any heroine, she was a beautiful heroine who had found favor in the eyes of the king.

I love this series of books from Day One, they are written for older kids and are packed with short readable chapters, little snippets of interest, questions to think about, topics are touched on. I love the way the author writes as if she is talking to the reader one-on-one, she does’t beat around the bush!!! These books would make great books for a teen Bible study, either in a group or as individuals!!! I like them… and I know there is one person at least in our house that would like me to buy this one!!!

If you would like to win this fabulous book then go ahead and enter our GiveAway. The GiveAway works in the usual way, comment before the end of this coming Saturday, 18 September 2010, and we will draw and publish the winner next week on Monday! – I won’t respond to your comments as I do on our other posts because I don’t want to be included in our own giveaway.

Our GiveAway Books are open to everyone: If you have won a GiveAway before never fear – enter away. If you live on the far side of the world – enter away. Postage takes forever from here but eventually it should get to you!

Good luck and get commenting!!!

I always think that a book on a remarkable woman in the Bible is always a worthwhile read. This is a such a dramatic story from the Bible with so much hanging in the balance, so easy to fall in love with such a courageous woman.

Sorry you’ve been sick. Have you guys read The Great Brain books? In one of the five, Me and My Little Brain, I think, the youngest boy gets a sick boy to breath all over him so he can be the first one sick in his family for once. Hilarious series.
