Sunday Snippet: A Grand Canyon Adventure… A Give Away…

Time for a fabulous GiveAway for your kids…"Charlie and Trike in the Grand Canyon Adventure (The Green Notebook Series)" (Ken Ham, Karen Hansel)

I know I should tell you all about the book… but I thought I would show you a few photographs and let this book speak for itself:

  • It is not often that a book is actually played with and my readers are so inspired that they have to bring a few friends to join the story.

  • On one level this book is the story of a dinosaur and his monkey friend as they go on an natural factual trail through the Grand Canyon, and we are drawn to read more as one or two things go wrong and our suspicions are raised.

  • It is not often that the fossil collection is dragged out and examined all afternoon because of a little factoid gleaned in a book. Finally a book for young children that contains dinosaurs and fossils and unashamedly uses the Bible and Noah’s flood to explain the different layers in the Grand Canyon.

  • This book is more than a story … it is full of fabulous little notebooks and map books packed with facts about the Grand Canyon, about fossils, about the flood…

  • Finally an interactive kind of book meant for kids that isn’t flimsy!!! This book is geared for young kids and is packed with pullouts, flaps and special features… all large scale, all attached (no bits to lose) and all robust…

I wouldn’t be surprised if certain members of our family are packed and ready for an adventure into the great unknown before breakfast tomorrow… and I wouldn’t be surprised if I find our garden part of some sort of geological dig as my kids pursue a new interest. Frankly I love books that inspire my kids and this is definitely one of those…

As usual I have to thank CBD, our GiveAway book suppliers for another great book.
