Time for another GiveAway… This week I have a book that is part of a series called “All Age Worship” to Give Away… The theme of this book is the family and it is a great resource to get your own family interacting and talking to each other about topics that they may have been avoiding!!!
This is a really fun book designed to get all ages to be involved in a small church service or bible study. It has fabulous ideas that requires lots of interaction and involvement on the part of the players… there will be no one idle day dreaming in the back row for this book!!! Each chapter of the book relates to a different relationship or concern within the family… siblings, moms, the dad and topics like chores and shopping, and so on… Each chapter has a specific layout:
- Want It: Setting the scene… A whole heap of interactive fun to get the folk to want to learn about a new topic.
- Watch It: This is the main teaching area of the lesson, packed with games, dramas and quizzes… lots and lots of chance to interact.
- Try It: This is the application part of the class… provide them with the tools they need to solve a particular problem and then figure out a solution.
- Live It: The take away part of the lesson… Something to try and work on in your life before the next class.
My older kids were really keen on the interactive fun in the book… for example presenting a drama in the teaching session and then interviewing the characters from the drama… The loved the quiz with questions like: “When Noah built the ark to escape the flood, he took his sons and their wives, and two of each animal. Who were Noah’s three sons? Which one fathered the Israelites? Do you know, off the top of your head, without looking it up?

As usual this is another lovely giveaway. I love anything that brings a family together in the Lord. My most meaningful moments in homeschooling (yes thats right!- who would have thought that spending time with the children as we spend time with the Lord would be such a focus ) has been our devotions. I think this looks like an excellent resource for a family – and when its fun it brings life!
