The Week That Was – 3.4

So here we go, another week that was and it has been cold and windy – really windy and really cold.

DSC_0066

Windy enough for a kite and this big boy can not resist a moment with a kite… or his little brother…

DSC_0632

And no missing out on generalized rock climbing…

DSC_0670

And out for lunch – oh Yum!!!

DSC_0508

Did I say Yum!!!

DSC_0514

There was lots of playing:

And satellites:

And hotels and tennis matches:

And Friday-Night Friends: DSC_0834

And frozen bananas:

DSC_0771

And glorious arting:

DSC_0814

And snipping, should I say hacking…

DSC_0818

And strolling:

DSC_0639

And Nasturtium tea… I passed!

DSC_0665

And heaps of visitors… for the second week running…

DSC_0534

And laundry…

DSC_0529

And bowls of white chocolate:

And if you write a post on sleep deprivation then you can be sure that this will happen:

DSC_0745

Seriously – OUT!!!

DSC_0140

And an entire afternoon of clay (and I am especially not showing you what they made),

DSC_0731

That went on long into the night!!!

DSC_0749

And wire cutting and the little contribution on my keyboard – endless tiny baskets!!!

DSC_0133DSC_0135

And one very kind gentle-person has decided that his mother needs a break and leaves the kitchen: swept, wiped, and sparkling, dishes done and packed away and the gentle buzz of the dishwasher. Every night. It is very hard not to get used to this!!!

And our books of the week: Well, I grew up on Jeanne-Marie and we have been reading them at bed-time this week, and everybody loves Jeanne Marie and her little sheep, Patapon, and her little duck, Madelon.

And this is what the Hoods got up to:

Hood #1: Got a “Little Big Planet T-shirt and has now “arrived!!!” Now if he could just figure out how exactly to get his hands on a real live sack-man!!!

DSC_0121

Hood #2: Well there were acrobatics of one kind and another.

DSC_0099

Hood #3: There was chilling in a sunny spot…

DSC_0485

And an awful lot of running about to keep warm!!!

DSC_0003

Hood #4: Should I say anything? I think not…

DSC_0540

Hood #5: And hiding in trees:

DSC_0115

Well not actually hiding:

DSC_0117

Hood #6: And this little person wrote her own music (don’t you love it with all the bright colors) and then proceeded to play it.

DSC_0570

I am not one to quash exuberance but earth shattering doesn’t begin to describe it, no matter how peaceful it looks!!!

DSC_0573

Hood #7: Could not contain her art project, she literally lifted off the table with joy.

DSC_0809

Hood #8: Decided he is big enough to face the climbing wall…

DSC_0496

Which may be a bit ambitious when he is only as tall as the coffee table.

That’s us!!! Have a fun weekend!!!

  3. You are a super mom for letting a recorder into your house. Jaylene asked for one yesterday and I said no. Piano and bells, drums and maracas I can handle. Recorders… nope! Too bad she can’t go over to your house to play.

  4. Oh JK… We have a bunch!!! They have to play really really softly!!! The softer they play the less they squeak!!! I guess you will have to trust me on this!!!
