The Week That Was – 3.20

November 21st, 2010 · 3 Comments

It is getting warmer, but it certainly isn’t sweltering and  a couple of days of rain… still!!!

But summer is definitely on the way… there are discarded shoes…
And piles of books in the shade…
The spring flowers are still going strong…
And watermelon is in season!!!
We had time for outings in the freezing cold…Gathering info for an upcoming series!!!
Time to share Saturday pizza’s with short friends…
And warm enough for lingering picnic lunches…
And camp outs…

This was the art contribution of the week: I love this happy lion!!!

Our book of the week, well we have been dipping onto our Visual Dictionary and learning all sorts of amazing facts!!!

Visual Dictionary.jpg

Hood #1: Is finally settling into school , we have six weeks left of our school year!!!
Hood #2: Spent ages making his little sister a cell phone!!!

Hood #3:Resolved the issue of um… stinky beans!!!
Clearly a daily change in water is essential…

Hood #4: As usual I don’t know what to say about this one… this was his outfit nearly the entire week…
And built a parking garage, lift and all!!!

Hood #5: Did a heap of great arting!!!
Hood #6:More arting…
And outing fun…
Hood #7:Was so proud of her arting – I just think that is one of the cutest things on earth!!!
Painting is indeed a way of life for some of us!!!
Hood #8: Discovered Blueberries.
And he will never look back!!!
That’s us!!! Have a great week!!!

I stumbled upon your blog recently and absolutely love it! Just wanted to send a bit of encouragement your way. 🙂 Thanks for sharing your family and adventures with us. It is a blessing to me to be able to read and learn from other homeschooling moms, and exciting to me that you have 8 children. We have 4 boys and it seems overwhelming at times, but I think….if you can do it….then I can too! Thanks! 🙂
