How to Illustrate a Book in Se7en Steps, Augustus and His Smile…

June 10th, 2011 · 6 Comments

While the Crafty Crow is having a month of book loving we have been loving books ourselves. One of our favorite, favorite picture books is: Augustus and His Smile.

He pops up all over the place…

Even climbing out of the recycling bin…

So we decided to do some book illustration….

We began with some watercolor stripes… Some deep blue sea…

Golden desert sand…

Deep green jungle…

Crystal clear sky…

Purple tissue paper mountains…

Colorful jungle plants…

Sparkling fish…

Feline footprints across the desert sand…

Some sparkling jungle birds…

And of course you will need a tiger…

If you are looking for some happy Tiger fun of the Augustus variety then follow this link.
