Sunday Snippet: Puzzles, Qizzes and Other Stuff – A GiveAway…

January 10th, 2012 · 30 Comments

We have fun GiveAway for you this week, gather up your pens and pencils because you are going to need them!!! DayOne Publications have brought out another fabulous book in the series of Youth Group Ideas by Tirzah L. Jones. A book that is just packed with puzzles, ready to use at home, with a kids Bible Study or Sunday School class.

This book has 101 puzzles with solutions, and I can honestly say my kids loved them. How often are Bible class puzzles a little lame, well these ones aren’t. All my reading kids were well challenged and enjoyed the puzzle factor… racing each other to finish word searches, and so on, just added to the fun. We used the quiz questions at lunchtime and the kids had a heap of fun figuring out the answers!!! Here’s a peak inside the book:

  • Crosswords:

  • Quizzes:

  • Wordsearches:

  • True or False Quizzes:

These puzzles cover typical sections of the Bible, like the Creation or Jonah, so if you are studying a passage with your class then you can go and find the corresponding puzzle to use with the group. Each puzzle is on its own page, nice and big and clear. Now here is the winner: The book comes with a disc containing all the puzzles, which makes them so easy to print out… no need to scan and make copies… search for the puzzle you are after and print out the copies you will need for your group. It really is that easy!!!

We have reviewed her previous books: Crafts, Crafts, More Crafts… and Games, Games, More Games. And really enjoyed them. These books for are really fabulous for moms, teachers and youth group leaders, but mostly they are great for kids!!!

As usual I have to thank CBD, our GiveAway book suppliers of more great books.

The GiveAway works in the usual way, comment before the end of this coming Sunday, 15 January 2012, and we will draw and publish the winners next week! – I won’t respond to your comments as I do on our other posts because I don’t want to be included in our own giveaway.

Our GiveAways are open to everyone: If you have won a GiveAway before never fear – enter away. If you live on the far side of the world – enter away. Postage takes forever from here but eventually it should get to you! Good luck and get commenting!!!
