In a world that advocates tolerance, and freedom of religion, the Christian church is under increasing persecution. “In fact, more Christians have been martyred in the last several decades than in all of the previous centuries combined, including the early Roman persecutions.” What would be the intelligent response to that… Well you can read and pray your way through the World Watch List. The World Watch List is a ranking of countries where the persecution of Christians, of all denominations, for religious reasons, is considered to be the worst.
We are going to be reading through the list of countries and praying for Christians around the world over the next couple of months.

i just went through your list of countries and i think this list is not accurate. i am a muslim and i am from pakistan and in pakistan we have never heard of “killing” christians because of their faith. we had christian friends, christian neighbours, school fellows, and we were living on very good terms with each other. we had even non muslim including christian employees and we shared our meals with them. i think the west needs to stop this false propaganda, and before you beleive everything being told by media, it would be a good idea to talk to people from that country. As for Afghanistan, i don’t even want to start on all the Muslim “culling” done by USA and its allies.
Although i have never met you but i really like you guys and i hope that you will take a non biased view of things before forming a decision.
Hi Homeschool4Muslims, Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment, I love it when you ask leading questions. I think we so agree on many things and the atrocious acts of violence against any people for their religious beliefs is appalling. And the heinous acts against muslims, jews, christians and other religions groups for what they believe in is indeed sickening and completely unjustified. In this post I am saying that Christians are persecuted for their beliefs in this modern era, and I was quoting/linking to an article from a recent Newsweek… Many folk think that persecution only happened in ancient times – in Roman times for instance. Clearly this is not the case. I am so interested in what you have to say about Pakistan… wouldn’t you like to contact the World Watch List and ask them about your native country, I think you are the better person to enquire since you have a working experience of living there. I would so love to hear their response. Thanks again for asking!!!
