In last weeks fabulous Friday fun Post I mentioned the You-Topia Competition on one of my favorite spots, They Draw and Travel. Anyway the week rolled round and inspiration struck and I discovered that I had to draw a map for one of our favorite spots too… It is clearly the year of lots of art projects!!!
So here’s a potential map of Kalk Bay:
The father person and I went for an amble through our favorite town, Kalk Bay looking for details… and there were lots of teeny tiny details that normally we overlook in our dash to get to The Ice Cafe or the Book Shop. So we started at one end…
And walked our way across town…
From one end to the other…
Past the church…
And the Garden Shop…
And the picket fence…
Past the nursery…
And the Artvark gallery:
And the theatre…
And the Buy and Sell Trading Post…
So much to explore…

An Ice Cream Stop…

And Fanny’s Curio Shop…
And eclectic shops for browsing…
And Coke of course… because every small town has some somewhere…

Cape to Cuba Eatery…
And the Bookshop…
For coffee…
And a treat…
Past the Gallery…
And on to the bakery…
And more hidden hearts…
Over the railway lines…
And down to the harbor…
Fishing as usual…
And all the way back to the start…
Past all the interesting spots…
Mostly we look down on Kalk Bay as we drive past, but it was really fun to linger longer and amble through the town…
