What a busy week, busy doing… “not a whole lot…” We needed a break, to lie around and read books and sleep late and take naps… and cook in the great outdoors…

And before the weekend is over… Here are this weeks lovely links…

  1. A Beautiful Mess… Soup Love: 10 Deee-licous Soups… These soups look so stunning and there is a “beans and chilli” recipe – I have to try that for my family… just the kind of thing they totally love!!! And really, can these guys do anything wrong at all: A Beautiful Mess: Candy Vanilla Milkshakes…
  2. I cannot get enough of painted leaves right now – look at these on Bellissimakids…
  3. Be the book this Halloween on Chronicle Books… love love love this!!!
  4. Tim Challies… Eighteen things I will not Regret Doing with My Kids…
  5. Gotta say we love our tea… and you have to take a look at these teapot covers on Kid Independent!!!
  6. Looking for some adorable arty and edible surprises… look no further than Kireei!!!
  7. Alpha Mom’s Costumes from Paris… stunning!!!
  8. And the se7en + 1th link:

  9. A Blast From the Past:

And on the Coffee Table…

Well a couple of weeks back we asked you if you knew of a fabulous audible edition of the Hobbit and more than a few of you gave us the same recommendation… but before I could get hold of the audible, we dove into the book. And we are loving it. I can see why my younger readers would have been overwhelmed but sitting and listening to the story unwind… and everyone is gripped. The chapters are long and yet we just can’t stop reading… just a little bit more, a little bit more… and the descriptions so vivid, you really feel as if you are on the journey yourself… So loving it!!!

GiveAway Winner

Oh I love how you picked your winner. I totally love The Hobbit and can not wait to share it with the kids. A and I have started on the Little Prince and I think I am going to get her Saartjie for Christmas
