Dear readers, you are too polite… when I forget to post A Week That Was… I won’t mind if you all say “HAY, Where’s our Week That Was…” I don’t know what we have been up to other than we have been madly busy… madly and just with living and reading and arting!!! So here we are…

It has been cold and wet, with a scattering of warm days… You can’t judge a week by the cover, but if I were to judge it by the kitchen sink then it was a good one!!!

Otherwise new neighbors and builders and heaps of entertainment… note to self if we ever have another house – maybe the gap between the neighbors and eight kids should be a little wider!!!

And the bikes are back in play!!! Oh yes, so worth spending a whole Saturday fixing them. Now see the cyclists:

And the hill… that hill…

Well my sweet kids convinced me to get back on a bike – I tell you, you can forget!!! And then you remember again… and up and down the hill I have been going – please may none of our immediate neighbors read our blog… as I have been staggering up that little hill and whizzing down again with my crowd of cyclists hurtling alongside of me!!! Very fun, very mad!!!
And this is my crowd of musicians off to PrizeGiving to gather up a plethora of awards… well done guys!!!

And it was haircuts for everyone again – how does it always seem like haircuts… once every three months or so…

And these flowers…

Just got better and better…

And the lettuces are ready… and salads are part of the dinner table again – YYAYYAY!!!

There were big feet…

And little feet…

And massive games and §long stories…

With heaps of details…

Games played…

And scientific fun…

Hours of it!!!

A journey by box…

Lego shared…

Apps shared…

And masses of arting…

This one is my favorite… some rhinos chasing a deer!!!

Plenty of books…

Read and read…

Our book of the week has to be about binodoors (dinosaurs)…

And this is what the Hoods got up to:
Hood #1: There comes a time – and you may not believe it, but there does… When you can say to your child: “How about trimming the hedge?” And he says: “Yes!!!” And with glee conquers a part of our jungle that I never would have had time to chop!!!

Hood #2: Actually does practice the saxaphone…

When he is not inventing computers.

Hood #3: Reads… and reads… and reads…

Hood #4: Is building a hide…

And reckons he needs a step ladder for a clothes horse… I say – “At least he is hanging it up!!!”

Hood #5: Only a potential chef would be proud to wear the sticker off a cucumber on his shirt!!!

He doesn’t just cook…

But I am not complaining when he does!!!

Hood #6: This get up could have been in the name of sisterly princesses, but I think it was more about protection against the cold…

And has been making little houses for the poor little snakes… that are thawing as the weather warms up… but she feels badly for them because it is just too cold for the poor babies. (I have told you before and I will tell you again – Motherhood is not for the fainthearted).

Hood #7: Declares herself to be a royal princess and expects the proper respect…

She has also been fishing whenever and wherever she can

Hood #8: When he isn’t obsessing through piles of recipe books and hunting down recipes for cakes… he has discovered painting…

Between cakes and painting he may well have found his calling…

That’s if fatigue doesn’t set in!!!

Just remember not to cover those feet!!!

That’s us – Have a great week!!!
looks like you had a busy busy – but great fun week!
