Another week and Summer continues on…
An outing…
And a food feast…
Their was a jar of pickled onions in chili oil on the chip shop counter… this mad man had to have one!!! He munched his way through a pickled onion soaked in chili oil… gone!!!
Climbing…
And Exploring…
And climbing…
And exploring…
There were pancakes for pancake Tuesday…
Yum…
And lenses…
Seriously looking at you…
And battleship wars…
That raged on and on…
There was chess with a grandfather…
And cards with a granny…
And Saturday night pizza…
And while we weren’t looking someone clambered up and was dipping pieces of salami into the HOT chopped chill “dip”…
We couldn’t believe our eyes as he just munched away!!!
There was time for kites…
And the bus game…
And we celebrated a birthday…
And popcorn picnics…
And visitors…
And chores…
And an oil rig…
And a quick trip to the library…
And reading of vast numbers of books…
And our book of the Week: My beginner readers are poring over this book… reading and reading and reading – who wouldn’t it is simply stunning!!!
And this is what the Hoods got up to:
Hood #1: It was a major week of recycling art…
Mugs anyone!!!
Hood #2:He is devoting his life to inventing apple apps… and I like them!!! And YOU will recycle – or else!!!
Hood #3: It is possible to spend an entire summer reading…
Hood #4: Figuring out origami…
Hood #5:Well painting of weird and wacky masks!!!
Hood #6:This little one literally vanished into a book…
And hours of painting…
Hood #7:And two big sisters put their heads together…
And spent an entire afternoon… drawing fairies…
For their little sister!!!
Hood #8: Sigh, markers are the occupation of the week…
And hours of pirating!!!
And peek a boo…
That’s us!!! Have a great week!!!

Hi Karen M, Thanks for stopping by!!! Michelangelo’s birthday has become a bit of a tradition around here… I wasn’t expecting our youngest to enjoy it quite so much!!! Lots of fun!!! Hope you guys have a great week!!!
Oh Taryn… Your wish is my command!!! I just had to figure out where the switch, amidst all the little tweaks, the switch was!!! I live and learn!!! Hope you guys have a great week!!!
I absolutely love the way you celebrated Michelangelo’s birthday. So perfect. I’m fascinated by the stick insect. How big is it? Do you have to lay an extra place at the table when it visits?
Hi Cheryl… Our stick insect is one of many visiting at the moment. They are at least as long as my hand… and they have tiny almost ethereal babies!!! No we don’t set a place at the dinner table, we usually plonk them in the hedge. Of course for Hood #6, my animal girl, they are her best friends and it not always easy to release them into the “wilds.” Hope you guys have a fun week!!!
