What can I say… a busy one, a cold one, and so glad it is time for a fresh one!!!

Even I didn’t feel like a walk on the beach.

What can I say: Where there is rain there are rainbows…

And where it is freezing there are hats…

This is my favorite picture of the week… crazy, rumpled kids…

This little guy introduced everyone to a new game… pop a peg on your nose and leap around madly crying ouch!!!

Otherwise there was quiet reading in the early morning…

Indoor toys popping out of their boxes… the weather can do that to a couple of kids!!!

There were brothers in arms…

There was craftiness…

And stories…

And projects…

And at least one late lie-in on account of the weather… lingering late in pajamas and then dashing around with insanity!!!

There was chocolate pudding, because that must be what winter is all about!!!

And even more important… cocoa has made its wintry comeback…

And mini-marshmallows…

And anticipation…

And a little more…

Gone…

Yum…

And the artwork of the week:

And the book of the week: Because it is the only Pre-PreK book we haven’t read for school so far this year!!! Somehow we are zooming through these stories again and again and loving them totally again and again…

And there were visitors, of course. Yup, that’s our kitchen…

With Camera’s…

And lights…

And action…

Plenty of it!!!

Loads of fun!!! Remember we visited the Expresso Studio a couple of weeks back, well they returned the favor and visited us!!! It was a long hard day… And I paid my kids in VIDA Hot chocolate for a day very well done!!! I think if we ever venture into a day like that I will request VIDA vouchers as payment myself!!!

And this is what the Hoods got up to…
Hood #1: There was someone who loved every moment around the camera’s… couldn’t get enough little factoids and boy would he love to spend more time behind the scenes!!!

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and he only takes about ten million photos a week and here are my favorites:

Hood #2: Had everyone captivated with his usual explosive scientific adventures.

Hood #3: Desperately seeking a warm spot to read… the sun is tepid to say the least!!!

Hood #4: Well I guess that would be reading about elephants… just guessing!!!

Hood #5:Mustaches…

Hood #6: A very stealthy coffee drinker crept up along side of my laptop… luckily for all of us it’s decaf!!!

Hood #7: Books, books, books…

Hood #8: He is so thrilled to discover Duplo and towers on wheels!!!

That’s us… and if it gets any colder it will be the last of us as we won’t be venturing beyond our duvets till the Spring… the end.
Have a fabulous week of course!!!
I can’t believe how much fun and excitement you pack into one week. More than most folks experience in a year!! I hope you post the video from your kitchen soon! Xoxoxoxoxoxo
Hay KM, So good to hear from you!!!It was quite a hectic week!!! I hope you are having a fun holiday today… and lots of Spring coming your way… we are definitely in the midst of Winter and a mad storm going on outdoors… and pretty freezing indoors!!! And the kids loved the TV crew… they are going to be on breakfast TV over here next week… madness really, I don’t know anyone who has ever been on tv before and now I live with a bunch of them!!! Hope you have a great week!!!
What a fun week! If mini marshmallows were not enough (and that would be plenty exciting for me) you have a TV crew. What was happening on the table, or have you sworn yourself to secrecy until the big day?
those mini mashmallows were the bestest – the hot chocolate was better, though. Love the pictures of #1
O what a fun week! If I could come back somewhere or someone else, I would like to be one of your kids! Keep sharing you inspire me! Blond question: What does the 3.47 behind your title mean? Blessings!
Hay Cheryl, No secrecy!!! We were doing a mountain of craftiness, which literally took weeks off our lives to prepare!!! With that sort of excitement I would settle for marshmallows too!!! But the kids were great and had to keep absolutely silent the entire time unless they were directly in front of the camera… it took the entire day and I am so glad for extra long movies like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang… you can always rely on the classics.
Hay Irene… I thought his photographs were brilliant!!! And the marshmallows were a fine idea too!!! Hope you aren’t freezing and soggy in this dreadful weather… Have a good week!!!
Hi Ananda!!! So glad you enjoy reading our blog… and my blonde moment right back…?huh 3.47… Oh that is so automatic I don’t even think about it, when we began our blog I never imagined I would blog quite so long… a month or two, never a YEAR!!! Then all our week that was posts were 1, 2, 3, …52 so the next year they became 1.1, 1.2, and so on up to 1.52, and still we blogged on so this is the third year and 47th week of blogging – quite daunting if you think about it really!!! Hope that all makes any sense it is a bit early in the day to think of anything quite so numerical!!! Hope you have a fantastic fun week!!!
I am in awe of you. How did you fit all that in with all those kiddies and even blog about it? You deserve a medal. It all looks so fun, refreshing and beautiful. I wish I’d been there;)
Hay Annabel Candy… I love it when you stop by!!! Well done on your fab winnings!!! Have a great week!!!
Awesome, as always. My favorite this week is the two boys. 🙂 Superfine picture!
Oh I love that you take the time to visit us and comment!!!! I must say I thought that was a fine photo of my scallywags myself!!! Hope you guys have a great week!!!
Oh let us know where we can see what has been filmed – wow! Hood #1’s photos are amazing. I recognise that lighthouse over there… Loved the brothers in arms too. So many wonderful things in your week again – feels like we have been for a wee visit. Blessings to all!!!
Oh, I want some of that lovely icy cold weather here! Right now! It is 93* today [ at 4pm] here in the Land of the Scorpions and we are sweltering! We need to get into the pool by 9am these days!
My girls and I just love and adore your “crazy, rumpled kids” photo! What great fun you all have! I think 2 of my girls wanted to clip a peg to their noses so they could join in the fun!
We love visiting your blog! Have a great weekend and thank you so very much for the great big smile. 🙂
Oh Karyn, I would swap your sweltering in an instant!!! We are so not good at the cold!!! My kids are roaming the word swathed in blankets this week… cold cold cold and really wet… And more mad romping fun to join in!!! Thanks for the visit… Hope you have a great week!!!
