It is cold and wet and cold and sunny and cold and wet and cold and sunny…

But hay mid-winter’s day and we are in the home straight, the nights will get shorter from her on out!!! And Happy Anniversary to my parents who have been married forever… well far longer than my forever…

Did I mention the cold and stormy… that is hail and thunder and lightening and ravaging weather… I am so grateful for a warm place to sleep on these very cold nights.

The surf was seriously up!!!

Everyone squeezing into the one patch of Sunlight!!!

Some of us had to have a mid-winter swim…

I kid you not!!!

The usual visitors…

And school…

And a stack of math…

And pirates…

And I am loving the glass collection…

The joy of an eight birthday!!!

And his first real drum-set… thanks to his oldest brother…

And balloons…

And bow ties…

And a sleep-over…

We didn’t stop by Tribeca… sob…

But of course we went to the ice-cafe for birthday ice-creams in the freezing cold…

There was heaps of arting…

More and more arting…

Even more arting…

Okay the week of art…

My scissors girl is still snipping away…

And endless puppet shows…

And hold your stomach… a science project in the oats we didn’t have for breakfast… a horrific surprise at the crack of dawn and my guys are about to learn how return something to the store when it isn’t quite up to scratch!!!

Otherwise there were boardgames…

And lettergames…

And the book of the week has to be…

This is what the hoods got up to:
Hood #1: Cardboard armor.

And conquering the great LEGO challenge…

Hood #2: Paper Mache expert at work…

And he has a friend in blue!!!

Hood #3: Sharing pearls of wisdom… “Do not where shoes to gym, you will just take them off and leave them there…” too true for all her siblings!!! “And when you bake a cake always crack the eggs in a separate cup because they may be yucky…” Well remembered from about four years ago!!! Can’t argue with the voice of authority around here!!!

Hood #4: The great comic sort…

Hood #5: Can spend hours of his life up on the rock watching in case his father person comes home early, just in case!!!

Hood #6: Discovered a pair of ballet shoes…

And tells me it is so hard to balance on more than one leg… she practices all day…

Hood #7: Along with puppeteering…

She is taking on a nomadic life, tent building… under every chair, every table, every bed…

Hood #8: The man is figuring out tracks… a tricky problem!!!

That’s us… Hope you are having a great week!!!
Ah, that book. Brought back a fond memory of my mother, who once misheard it, and always thereafter referred to it as ‘I wish I had buck teeth’. Some serious oats you have there, as well.
those oats must have really been a nasty breakfast surprise. So, how did the store react?
#8 in duck feet is just too precious.
Oh, yes, and do not mess with the voice of authority!! hahahahaha
Oh Sharelle, “I wish that I had buck teeth…” that is hysterical!!! Hope you have a great day!!!
