I know we have blogged about Gold Restaurant before… and even before that… the thing is that we love it completely, those smiling happy faces are so welcoming… They have moved from the city centre to a very vibrant district just outside of the Waterfront and we love it!!!

They have so cleverly found ways to decorate with gold… even gold dripping from the ceilings…

Literally… look at the beautiful lampshades…

Under those lamps… gold of course!!!

And of course their was drumming…

Up on the roof top…

Rows of drums waiting for us…

Drumming under African skies…

Drumming for our dinner…

Fabulous teachers inspiring away…

Even small drummers…

Lots of drummers…

And look at their clever vertical garden…

And onto the hand washing ceremony…

Beautiful…

And downstairs to a table for ten!!!

Don’t you love the flowers…

And our chef vanished into the kitchen…

He looks like he was “going home”…

And the dishes… oh I love the dishes…

And delights ready to serve…

Don’t these gals look lovely…

And there we go…

Plates and plates of sumptuous food… go ahead and read the menu – you really do want to, they explain their food so well and weave a fine tale through their menu!!!

Everyone loves having their own little bread!!!

And we all love these beautiful pies!!!

And then more drumming…

And singing…

And out came our friend…

To say hi!!!

And drumming…

And traditional-dancing…

Wild-dancing…

Less traditional-dancing…

And I-am-so-tired-you-have-to-carry-me-dancing…

And the next round of dishes arrived…

My favourite dish…

More dancing…

And this was followed by golden dessert…

And the most incredible fruit platter ever!!!

And we loved it all!!!

And then it was time to say good-bye… to our friends… and the drums…

And this gentleman!!!
