Two weeks from now I won’t be sitting at my desk writing a blog post… I will have traveled across Southern Africa and will settling into a week of working in Zambia with Greenpop. Exciting times indeed. This past week our family joined the Greenpop team and helped to create an urban park, on what was a pile of rubble beside the highway at the start.

If you would like to see a video of the work GreenPop does in Zambia, then… here you go:
Otherwise here is a link to photos of the park we helped to plant earlier this week. It was fabulous fun day and I have a feeling my gang is sold on this kind of project… good physical work in the great outdoors greening our world, one small urban park at a time.

Creating A Park With GreenPop
Pick a spot…

Gather some plants…

Gather some people…

Add in some torrential rain…

And eager hands…

A lot of digging…

Crazy digging…

And even more digging…

And much more digging…

And clearing of stones…

And carefull unpacking…

And you might need a succulent wall…

And mulching…

Masses of mulch…

And a bonfire helps…

And good company…

Before you know it… a park is planted.

Hay Christi, the guys at Greenpop are just amazing. Their work is so great… a huge positive attitude to making real and lasting change, one tree at a time. Wishing you all the best week!!!
