A Plethora of Paper Dolls in Se7en Steps…

Hood #4 is one of our great artists. He spends hours of every day arting. He wanted to introduce all our readers and a few siblings to the art of making paper dolls… He is prolific to say the least and if you would like to view them in droves then feel free to go and have a look at his flickr set.

Meantime lets get going… this is what you are aiming for:

And this is what you need:

Just some markers, papers and scissors (the scissors really should be yellow – makes all the difference!) and occasionally tape.

Step 1: Draw your person.

Step 2: Snip it out carefully.

Step 3: Place your person on top of some blank paper and trace around it.

Step 5: Add a few accessories: Bags and brushes, weird beasts, a rocket, a pet wild bear, a treehouse, a pet dragon, a friendly dog and a house is handy too.

Some wild things:

And a Crafty Crow:

Step 6: Encourage your siblings to set up their own parade:

Step 7: And here are the results of another days work: In his hoodie pajamas, his soccer kit, his Sunday best, everyday wear and swimming costume.

That’s it. Over and Out from Hood #4. We hope you have fun.

P.S. He is not the only hood obsessed with paper dolls, there is another one: Hood #3… who spends ours categorizing and labeling hers! and keeps ever so organized in a shoe hang at the end of her bed.
