Firstly I am tidying up our blog this week and making our past posts more accessible and easier to find. First up is a page with all our past Sunday Snippets… follow the link to take a look.
Meanwhile, you know how I am always on about kids reading good books well here are some for you to enjoy. Two books for kids, who are comfortable reading chapter books. As usual our books are sponsored by:

And here they are, both of them are published by Scripture Union…
The first book follows a boy called Gwilym and his dog called Brown as he takes his fathers sheep across the country, through many trials to the market in England. It is Gwilym’s first great adventure, he survives bandits and perilous conditions. He has Huw, an old faithful shepherd who guides him on his journey and ensures he reaches his destination. You can read an excerpt if you follow this link and click on the download.
The second book is a story set in a future time. Global Warming has caused the sea levels to rise and a few people are living on a small island to the North. They find a boat from the past and set sail with their Grandad. Unfortunately a savage storm arises and they are shipwrecked. They shelter through the night on an island, in a decrepit cottage and find a Bible on the table. Using the Bible for inspiration and encouragement they go on a quest to save a Great Island Kingdom from an impending threat and certain destruction. Again you can read an excerpt if you follow this link and click on the download.
