What can I say… the tree is green, green, green… and I am hanging onto the very la-st days of summer…

But it is getting somewhat crisper!!! and cooler!!! And we are only swimming every other day…

The wind has been howling and well and we have been hectic…

We are so back in school and I promised myself I would not peak at the internet until we were done… And my little people have been keeping themselves out of mischief…

More or less!!!

And I tell you if you watch dinner it will cook that much faster…

And I got flowers!!!

Heaps of flowers… a mother needs her rewards!!!

There was reading…

And reading…

And books…

And forts…

And caves…

Big enough for everyone…

And a cooking frenzy…

Of note…

And toasted sandwiches…

And soup!!!

And french toast… because someone has to make lunch!!!

And somebody absolutely loves…

Did I say LOVES…

The Postman Pat song…

And that’s it – over…

And of course we took a trip to the ice-cafe for birthday ice-creams!!! Oh I love birthdays!!!

Yup one little guy had his first cone…yup it was a bit cold, but he didn’t pause for a second!!! And I think he now likes birthdays just as much as I do!!!

And the artwork of the week isn’t ours… but isn’t it totally cool?

Whichever way you look at it…

And the book of the week… because who doesn’t love great big chunky Priddy Books packed with brilliant photographs and clever words and “d-dogs”!!!
Hood #1: This guy is so into his new school year, he is even dressing for the occasion!!!

Hood #2:Did some garden archaeology… I think he was hoping to dig up an ipad or something!!!

Hood #3: Prized the grade 2 readers away from me and took her own trip down memory lane!!!

Hood #4:Not all of us are quite so committed school… and that boy with the colorful curls, well I am working on him… he just keeps dashing off!!!

Hood #5: I could sit next to these eyelashes learning to read all day long…

Hood #6: And all these crumpled expressions took about a second and a half to photograph… and that goes on all day – wonderful!!!

Hood #7: Has finally managed to get to the top of the rock on her own!!! YAYAY major achievement folks!!!

Hood #8: Has found the perfect spot to sit and play for hours and hours and … did I say hours!!! He fits perfectly under the work bench and he has re-invented the desk!!!

And I still think he has the cutest feet on earth…

That’s us… Have a fabulous week!!!
Love it! I think it’s awesome that you take the time to “toast” each kid every week! Someday they will look back and be able to see how much you payed attention!!!! Not that they don’t see it now, but you know what I mean?! Happy end of summer! Spring is just starting here in Wisconsin….good times.
Cool picture of hood #4; the wig looks like a lovely shrub!
Hi Rebecca… I wonder if we ever appreciate the love our parents must have had for us… but I guess we don’t!!! But now that I know how much I love mine I have a vague idea!!! Happy Spring to you… we are enjoying our crispy autumn… but I am not looking forward to weeks of rainy winter!!! Have a great day!!!
Aunty Muffin – That Wig!!! That guy is so funny!!! Gotta love him trying to escape… and then he gets sucked in by something he really wants to know about … and suddenly his school is done!!! Hope you have a great week!!!
I was expecting to see a trail of Asterix books in every picture. Like spot the duck in the Usbourne books. You are obviously more subtle than I am! Absolutely love the driftwood damsel! (Assuming it is driftwood.) What a great find!
If anyone deserves flowers then you definitely do. Enjoy!
Hay Cheryl… Oh that would make such a cool post!!! I love spotting the duck!!! And just the other day I was lying in somebody’s bed reading Lucky Luke out-loud!!! In English mind you my French is somewhat minimalistic!!! Hope you have a fun week!!!
