I do confess I am not a Winter person but Winter does bring some wonderful visitors to Cape Town and apparently the whales are back in town… We haven’t seen them up close and personal yet… but they are definitely back in town!!!
So we made some retro whales to welcome them….
We began by whipping up some white wax crayon whales…
Then we painted them over with ink (a dash of food coloring in water)… and the whales jumped off the page…
Once they were dry and snipped out… we got stuck in with markers on the plain side, the idea was to eventually have no white card showing… and somehow they turned out very retro!!!
YAY for markers!!!
Seriously!!!
And we were done…
So we hung them out… the blue…
And the not so blue…
Fluttering…
Fun…
Welcome Whales…
Welcome the whales INDEED!! What a beautiful whale mobile – love both sides the crayon and the colour side. So pretty!
Thank you for joining Kids Get Crafty – BRILLIANT to have you there 😉
