Time for another GiveAway for your kids… "40 Days With Esther (Daily Readings) (Daily Readings)" (Sue Hudson). Esther is Hood #3’s favorite book of the Bible and so we have blogged about it plenty of times. Here’s a Bible study book for kids with a short Bible reading every day, a couple or sentences for a summary and one or two comprehension questions that they can answer themselves and fill in.

Now Esther is a very celebrated little book of the Bible so I thought I would have a share a bit about the book just before Esther… Nehemiah is my favorite book of the Bible and I have blogged about it before. Nehemiah was concerned with rebuilding the walls around the city of Jerusalem… the book is a great read and quick, you can read it to your kids in a sitting. My kids are always inspired to rush around and rebuild the city walls after we have read it. Last time we rebuilt the walls we did it indoors on a rainy day but today was sunny and out we went… “Mending the city gates one after the other…”
- The Old Gate: Toss the dice to see how old the gate really is…
- The Valley Gate: Off the the Valley to find some fruit…
- The Dung Gate: Firstly they had to find it and then count out enough squares of loo roll for their age…
- The Fountain Gate: Turn a cup filled with water without shedding a drop…
- The Water Gate: Fill up the can and see how long it takes to spill a drop…
- The Horse Gate: A big brother that can set up a whole lot of jumps in a few minutes is just brilliant!!!
- The Sheep Gate: We got our knitter knitting!!!
- The Fish Gate: Little people got magnet fishing…

And the Se7en + 1th Gate…

And once you have finished reading Nehemiah with your kids, go on and read Esther too.
As usual I have to thank CBD, our GiveAway book suppliers for another great book.

The GiveAway works in the usual way, comment before the end of this coming Sunday, 7 August 2011, and we will draw and publish the winner next week! – I won’t respond to your comments as I do on our other posts because I don’t want to be included in our own giveaway.
Our GiveAways are open to everyone: If you have won a GiveAway before never fear – enter away. If you live on the far side of the world – enter away. Postage takes forever from here but eventually it should get to you! Good luck and get commenting!!!
