I was so busy watching Jane Eyre on Friday night, my all time favorite book… I quite got lost on the moors…

Followed by bit of blogging and a bit of tweeting and a bit of Pinterest…. So reality blogging here and this is what I woke up to on Saturday morning… very welcoming… tells me I live with a bunch of content kids – love it!!!

And three very engaged small people… working on a major project…

Aha!!! Play do!!! The distraction above all distractions!!!

Everyone else had left, with the father person, in a flurry!!!

There was no time to make beds… but there was time to build an airport!!!

Sandwiches for little people – outside, so that I can tidy up inside… I was grateful for my unsung hero, the dishwasher.

Just in time for the big people to get home and a glorious day means races on the beach…

Followed by some digging…

Oh the heady joy of dig, dig, digging…

Castling…

Cuddling…

Mining…

Seriously…

Mining…

Really mining…

There was heady joy!!!

And mini-beasts…

Of the blue variety…

And kelp…

Crop circles…

Home again… To clamber to the top of the jungle gym… He can do it!!!

And a braai for supper, because that’s what you do on “National Heritage / Braai Day…” which means generating a roaring fire…

And hours of dexterotory exercises with prongs…

And boerewors… rolls of sausages…

And braai bread… hmmm what could be better!!!

Followed by baths, pajamas and Star Trekking for big people with their Father person…

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who’s counter looks like that some times. 🙂
And the whole in the sand! Eek! I kept expecting the next picture to be some kind of critter that they found down in there! LOL
I love reading about your family. Thanks for taking time to share it with us!
Hi Reba… I don’t know what that is about… these long deep holes in the sand – to nowhere!!! You are way ahead of me, I hadn’t even thought of what they might find down there!!! Hopefully they will come up with a new beach project really soon… now that I am thinking of some sort of creepy crawly that could be down there!!! Lots of love and have a fun week!!!
