Summer is finally here, long lazy days and no going indoors until the sun is off the steeple…
And Summer salads…
And visitors from far and wide…
Heaps and heaps of visitors and Justin Bonello came to the rescue again and again and again…
And a birthday of note…
Hours at the beach…
And train spotting…
And digging and digging…
Hours and hours in the swimming pool…
And lazing with friends…
And heaps and heaps of puzzles…
A week of Christmas Preparations with heaps of baking…
Exhausting work…
And we made it to Christmas Dinner…
And candy…
We read some books:
And a trip to Vida for Frio’s – Iced “Hot” Chocolates… because it is summer and one must!!! Not to mention a reward for weeks of shining brilliance and “going the extra mile.”
Our kids very quickly filled all the tables for two!!!
And our book of the week has to be: Oh I know Christmas has passed but we have read this book every year and we so love it, we read it and reread our best sections and then read it again and again!!!
And this is what the Hoods got up to:
Hood #1: Is still all about rocket science…
Finishing up school assignments.
Hood #2: Chess, chess, chess… The grandmaster strikes again…
Hood #3: A mini gymkhana…
Hood #4: Made a new hat… Potato bags are in!!!
And then this fellow moved in…
He appears to have climbed right out of a Bugsy Malone movie…
Hood #5: Trying out his Christmas watercolors…
Hood #6: Learnt how to make salad dressing…
Hood #7: Has a new summer hat…
A new generation of paper doll playing has arrived…
Hood #8: Is the master of all things to do with cookies.
Is still not to sure how the whole gifting thing works… if everyone else gets a gift… Does he get one as well?
He didn’t say anything… but he was a little out of his depth. And he wasn’t to sure about the hidden “rules” and was quite relieved to discover that he is part of the party!!!
And he quickly got the hang of it!!!
That’s us… Off to have a fab day in the sunshine!!!
Oh my word so good to see all those beautiful faces and how they have grown and the sunshine and the beach and how we wish we could be hanging out with you too!
