We have a pile of index cards lying on the dresser. There was some educational plan for them that never came to pass and they have been crying out for an art project for the longest time.

Today was another Wild Day in our corner of Africa and the index cards became a troop of wild animals.

We began with our index cards…

And cut them in half, the one half was for the body and the other half was for the head and foot stands… we wanted out animals to stand up.

These animals needed to be really bright, so we used acrylic paints…

We left our beasts to dry in the sunshine…

Once they were dry we added little details and one or two strategic slits to put them together…

Here is our beastly gallery:

Quite a beastly collection…

From index cards…

Hope you had a great day, wherever you are!!!
