We were sent a World Scratch Map to Review by MapStudio and we love it… Honestly this was instant happiness and we all loved it. This is a world map with a difference, it is a map that you have to interact with and go exploring… At first glance it is a silver map… but as you scratch away the surface a colourful map of the world full of details is revealed!!!

This sort of adventure begins with a dig in the old coin collection…

Choose your coin…

And you are good to go…

There is so much more info than “just a map” on here… but you have to find it.

Oceans and time zones…

Flags and facts…

I know this should be on the wall and eventually it will get there… but it has been on our kitchen table and my gang have all stopped by and scratched off this and that… and spent hours pondering…

We could think of a million uses for the Scratch Map:
- Countries we have been to…
- Places we would love to visit…
- Countries that friends live in…
- All the wonderful places that folk who stop by for dinner come from…
- Countries we have learnt about…
- Just the flags…
- Just the countries…
- Countries all over the world where our followers can be found…
And the se7en + 1th…
So far we have only impacted on Africa… but I have a feeling it won’t be long until our map is totally transformed and there will be very little left to scratch away…

We could say that this map is very educational and you will learn an enormous amount of factual facts… but instead we are going to say – we had a heap of fun with this map, it is just brilliant and it isn’t a quick afternoon’s activity at all… I reckon this is going to be the top goto thing to do as my kids realise just how much they can scratch off this map… little bit by little bit!!!
The GiveAway
So we have one of these fab World Scratch Maps to GiveAway to a lucky reader. This GiveAway works in the usual way, leave a comment before the end of 27 June, 2014. We will draw and publish the winners in the Friday Fun Post after that. I won’t respond to your comments as I do on our other posts because I don’t want to be included in our own giveaway.

Our GiveAways are open to everyone: If you have won a GiveAway before never fear – enter away. If you live on the far side of the world – enter away. Postage takes forever from here but eventually it should get to you! Good luck and happy commenting!!!

We would like to thank MapStudio who supplied us with two maps, one to review and one to GiveAway. We were not paid for the review and the opinions expressed in it are as usual, entirely our own.

just bought one of these maps but how will we know which countries are which with out scratching then, some is confusing and hard to find
Hay Kim, We use our map with an atlas… so we discover where a place is and then we get to scratch off the country… bit by bit we have uncovered a lot of the map… May I suggest that you start with places you know and then venture nearby and slowly expand your repertoire… Best of luck and have fun!!!
