Se7en’s Cuppa for CANSA
It is time for #se7enscuppaforCANSA, spot us on instagram all week… you can read all about campaign over here…
We would love you to support our cause… it is quick and easy and every little bit adds up…
The Book of the Week…
Danger is Everywhere by David O’Doherty and illustrated by Chris Judge: This book is a lark, jam packed with every conceivable danger that you could ever imagine… and more than a few of those that you have never imagined before as well. Filled with tongue in cheek humour and absolutely packed with life-saving tips… beginning with the how and where to read the book safely. This book is packed with acronyms and when you complete the book you receive a DOD certificate… and thats a Diploma of Dangerology Certificate for those who are asking. This book looks like a handbook to life, and one of my emerging readers took the whole thing quite seriously, and is quite relieved that they now know how do deal with shark attacks in the home!!! This book had all my other kids laughing hysterically and reading snippets out-loud through gasps of hysteria. We rank this as a fun, fun, fun read. For readers of all ages above the level of “I can read it myself,” it is easy to read and packed with illustrations… great for the child who loves books but not reading too many words, and great for anyone who wants to just dip in and glean a couple of quick and “essential” safety tips.
This book is a Puffin Book and you may not know this but Puffin books have a fab podcast for kid readers and if you haven’t heard of Virtually Live… it is a webinar that Puffin Books host with popular authors, the latest and greatest books or illustrators… it is fab and fun. You can join in live or watch later… here’s the link to the upcoming Danger is Everywhere… Virtually Live. You do want to sign up, my kids really enjoy this.
We were given this book for review purposes by Penguin Books South Africa, we were not paid for the review and the opinions expressed are as usual totally our own.

Jeanine Oct 20, 2014 at 3:11 am I have to say honestly, I am more excited to see your map covered in pins for each readers location, than winning the cards! Im a stickler for learning & stats ;D I do hope you’ll share a photo of it once complete?!?! In meantime, we are Canadians as well like above commenter–Accept we are down & over in Ontario, Canada. Toronto is thee main major city visited here/there by tourists, however our capital city is Ottawa! And, our family resides in specifically a wee town called Georgetown. You could look for us under & around the Halton Hills “Region”. Region represents a few small towns like a pack, that are run by the same Members of Political Parties, by-laws, & stuff! LOL! Sooo excited to read all comments from others when I can too. You’re an incredibly inspirational family…
