Gotta say my kids love an adventure and an opportunity to explore something new is an opportunity grabbed with both hands… So when we received tickets for the Cape Town Sixes Sport and Cultural Festival this past weekend I knew that we would enjoy it. It turns out that despite never ever having been to a cricket match in their lives before, they loved it. In fact, the gang has discovered their new favourite sport, and I predict many afternoons of beach cricket in our future. I know how even are my kids so deprived, they have never been to an actual match before… they quickly had to learn the ins and outs of cricket and then off we went and they absolutely loved it…
And suddenly we became a sporting family…
Watching fast and furious football…
Lots of it…
and then there was Cricket…
And there were teams…
And supporters…
There were celebrities
There was the Paparazzi…
There were wickets…
And smashes…
And well… not catches…
There was running…
And there was bowling…
By a South African Legend…
And a small boy who desperately wanted a chance to field… Day made!!!
And refreshments!!!
And pizza…

Hay Debbie, We had an absolute ball(!), there is nothing like watching great players playing to inspire!!! Happily sat in the sun for hours and hours watching the games go past… some excellent cricket!!! Have a great week!!!
