Well I got to spend the weekend on the couch… cricked my back, who knows how and had an entire weekend collapsed on the couch… I’d like to say that I drank lots of tea and read endless books… but I napped… the entire weekend!!! And boy am I ready for Monday, for the first time in years!!! Meantime here is a Week That Was Post… Our weather tree is looking green as expected, except for some very surprising rainy days (the blue leaves).

From the midst of summer… we just aren’t ready to give up hot summer nights…

And beautiful evenings yet…

Breakfast on the beach…

Yummy breakfast…

And swimming… even when the pool turned green!!!

Taken to sliding…

And spontaneous parties…

And a giant pass the parcel… or “Pass the Pastor” as our youngest called it…

And pizza dinners under the stars…

Clearing the garden… I jest, I actually asked my boys to gather all the sticks in one spot so that we could assess which ones were the most valuable… I kid you not!!! Our garden is tiny… the stick pile gigantic!!! And each stick in an essential piece of building material!!!

We were gifted with an apple corer and we can not stop eating apples!!! Too fun!!!

A little rain brought a heap of visitors…

The usual visitors…

And road races every afternoon… and I have to say that if I was one of our neighbours I would be quoted daunted at this approaching me at speed…

And a champion…

Construction…

And gathering food supplies with the father person.

And Sunday night omelettes smiling at us…

Heaps of scientific discovery…

Natural factual discoveries…

And sugar crystals…

And many legged races…

And big footed monsters…

And well I am not too sure… but it was fun!!!

And braai-ing for many new faces in town…

And friends visiting from the far side of the world… with Crayola treats!!!

And how many best friends can you squeeze onto a tractor wheel!!!

And artefacts on a mantlepiece…

And school next to these lashes that never fail to take my breathe away!!!

Our first post card arrived from Japan…

Our Artwork of the Week: The Glitter Gal…

And tie-dyes!!!

And our Book of the Week: We were reading The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe Series… but we have misplaced #3 in the series… So we are reading Johnny Tremain instead!!! Our map of Boston and surrounds is out and we are gripped in a fever of chapters flying literally past us at meals… can not put it down!!!

And this is what the hoods got up to:
Hood #1: Can not be parted from his camera… and interesting angles!!!

Hood #2: Pretending to sleep in the hopes of a morning off…

Hood #3: Arting…

Hood #4: Immobilised by British History…

Hood #5: Has taken to reading…

And reading…

And did I say reading…

Hood #6: Making many friends…

Hood #7: Carefully taking scientific notes…

Hood #8: Meet our skater guy…

Our swinging guy…

Our daily study in black guy!!!

That’s us, hope you all have a most brilliant week!!!
