Celebrity Chef (Part 2): Caramel Carrots…

August 5th, 2008 · No Comments

The celebrity chef is at it again: This time he is caramelizing carrots…

Meet the Team:

A bunch of carrots
A tablespoon of brown sugar
A tablespoon of ground cinnamon
Butter for dabbing

Don’t forget that sippy cup, cooking is thirsty work…

Play the Game:

Very carefully with the help of your friendly adult… grab your weapon!!!

And chop those carrots;

Fill up the bowl, then add a bit of water and get your friendly adult to microwave them on high for about five minutes.

Once the carrots have cooled, tip them out onto a greased baking tray. If the bowl is still a bit warm don’t worry you can use your sleeves as warming gloves – very practical.

Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon all over the carrots (notice celebrities never ever wear matching socks!);

Then smoosh them round to make sure they are covered;

Do a taste test;

Check again – hmmmmm.

Scatter the butter all over the carrots;

Get your friendly adult to put them in a hot oven until they start to go brown and look sticky. Then try them…

Nope, still a bit hot;

Try again;

Hmmm;

Yum!
