Our Christmas to Do List is moving along – and December is here…
- Step 1: Operation Christmas Box – We are totally done.
- Step 2: Christmas Cards – We have a photo, envelopes nearly all addressed, stamps – we putting cards into envelopes and posting ours off this weekend.
- Step 3: Plotting and Planning Gifts – We have a list! Folk we are gifting and the gifts we are planning to make. At this stage we need to gather our materials.
- Step 4: Creating Gifts – A Gift List – We have started to make our gifts and we have scheduled them into our Advent Calendar. I would even post some of them if we had had electricity today… but no!!! We do have our list of things we need for gifting so today we are headed for the store to buy our supplies – Christmas shopping with “se7en + 1″ is going to be fun.
Because there was no electricity and one can’t stop the flow of Christmas. We had our paper, we had our paints, we had our food coloring and we are good to go. This is a tuesday art task for sure!
We got to work on our gift wrap. Now we like to package our gifts with a theme, and don’t faint this is such an easy activity that we can co=ordinate our gift tags and our packaging. Because our gifts are really tiny we will be able to make mini-pinata’s for our friends and if we start them this week they will certainly be good to go in good time.
Here is a round-up of our gift-wrap and packaging from years gone by:

Hi, I’m interested to know what you put in the jars. I’ve only ever done my favourite chocolate cake- it’s always a hit and much requested. (Maybe I should just stick to it? )

What are those white boxes? Did you make them or buy them?

Hi R, We have a local packaging company that makes any number of a million different shapes and size boxes, where we got these and then decorated them. It is called MarryPak (in Cape Town) but I have a feeling you are in the states and this information won’t be of much use to you!!! Have a good day!
