The Week That Was – 2.31

January 31st, 2010 · 8 Comments

The Weather continues and the summer is glorious…

This picture sums up our week…

Where we had heaps of gaming, it was too hot for anyone else:

And letter writing:

and swimming:

Trying out benches:

And exotic outings:

And whatever this is!!!

And our books of the week: Someone discovered these and we haven’t heard a word from him since!!!

Meanwhile each of the Hoods have been up to their own thing:

Hood #1: Has taken to the watering and took his littlest sister to a secret hideout at the top of the tree.

Hood #2: Did a whole lot of totem pole construction and discovered Harry Potter and there was an audible silence in the house!!!

Hood #3: Spent hours reading to her littlest brother…

Hood #4: Reinvented the world:

Had a discussion with his littlest brother….

Hood #5: Did his usual reading, destruction, walking stick antics and mezzaluna-ing:

Hood #6: Is thrilled that her parsley is growing, and has been drawing flowers.

As well as some generalized mischief:

Not to mention she fell in love with this beastie:

Hood #7: Did some reading, riting and rithmatic. She discovered that three butternuts will not fit into a small lunchbox… That’s why I do all the parking.

Hood #8: Crumpled when he heard his brother on the saxophone!!! But quickly recovered (his cheeks are so fat they appear to be falling off his little face!!!).

And otherwise seems to have left home, to explore blanket tassels on the floor…

Which means I am now crawling about on the floor too, because I just can’t leave such a sweetie to his own devices!!!

That’s us!!! Have a Great Week!!!

Hay P, It’s a mad world isn’t it!!! It is just too hot to step outdoors here – luckily we have an old house with thick walls and it is quite cool indoors during the middle of the day. In fact only in the early morning is it cool enough to go outdoors and do chores. Hope you guys have a fun week!!!
