It is a tradition during the month of our Blogaversary to ask a couple of our favorite bloggers for a list of Se7en + 1 “anythings…” Things they love or things they loathe!!! Best books, best blogs, things you love about blogging, best outings, best ice-cream flavors, places to visit, best foods, fun traditions, habits, kid stuff you still enjoy, summer fun, winter fun, even se7en +1 favorite words – whatever they like…
As it is coming up to Ebi-kun’s birthday, presents had been on my mind so I thought I would share a list of my favourite 7+1 items for imaginative play…
Cardboard boxes are our number oneSo many things they can becomeFrom cool robots to old steam trainsA Viking ship or an aeroplane
Number two is an old bed sheetFor a tent, a picnic or a castles keepA place to curl up and read a bookOr hide from that evil Captain Hook
For three we love our blocks of woodWe would play with them every day if we couldWe like to build big cities and townsAnd use toy cars to get around
Four has to be our wooden peepsFor fighting dragons and riding jeepsSmall enough to put in a pocketOr launch into space in a soda bottle rocket
Five oh five is crafty suppliesPom-poms, glitter and goggly eyesBottles of glue and lolly pop sticksWhat can we make with this bag of tricks?
For six you can’t go wrong with playdohHomemade and scented is the way to goFrom funny monsters and delicious cakeThere are lots of things we like to make
Seven is our collection of story booksYou should come on over and take a lookStories of knights and ninjas are the bestBut we also love dragons and all the rest
Eight is last but certainly not leastA royal outfit fit for a feastA cape for a wizard and a Viking hatA shield for a knight and all of that
You see our dressing up box is the best of allFor all kinds of adventures big and smallWe can take on a mission night or dayBecause all these things help our imaginative play
