I was intending to post a hearty post…

But it rained… I know the rest of the world is caught in the grip of winter – snowed in for miles around. And the summer loving folk in the southern hemisphere were visited by a day of rain… not pouring rain, just a steady drip. And we ground to a halt… into bed and books and duvets and blankets everywhere… clouds in the sky and it must be freezing.

But we have friends visiting all the way from the far north, Canada… and that means our day of rain is their mid-summer and we headed for the beach regardless!!! I know… take a look…

This is what our summer-loving kids consider a wintery day!!!

Seriously, winter!!!

The sand was crusty with rain drops…

Look at winter…

Crisp clear waves…

Some of us got busy…

Some of us got giddy…

Busy indeed…

There were races…

And more races…

And there was commitment…

Photographs…

And sunshine…

And maybe just a little fun…

And a visitor…

Stopped by…

And blue seas…

And the mist rolled in…

Along with the waves…

And a little bit more mist…

And that was it… the beach vanished…

Home again…

Looking back…

And there was cocoa before bed…
