Se7en’s Fabulous Fun Post #289

Our week was pretty grey, ’tis the season… the weather is undecided and is going “this way, that way, this way…” That being said, there are plenty of signs of spring about… and a desperate need to dash around the house and spring clean like crazy.

I have to say not every one appears to have the same spring energy as I do, so for the meantime I am lurking around and clearing surfaces and getting rid of accumulated stuff, that somehow gathers during winter hibernation…

Lovely Links from This Week

  1. I can’t imagine anyone ever wanting to house swap with a house with eight kids… but this post, Hosting Airbnb Guests on Apartment Apothecary, inspired the travel bug in me!!!
  2. I spotted this little surprise on twitter this week… how can this book, one of our all time faves, be twenty years old. Anyway DK Books are looking for kids from around the world, for their new edition.
  3. If you don’t follow the Chronicle Books Blog… I love it, their books are often quirky, and lots of fun… and their creative “things to do and fill in” kind of books are just the best… Anyway, here is a challenge from Chronicle Books: Have you drawn a book shop lately? This is the sort of challenge I am up for right now!!!

  5. We review books for Penguin Random House and so we can’t enter this fantastic GiveAway… Would you please head over there… like immediately (!!!) and enter!!!
  6. Sunday 13 is Roald Dahl Day… you can download this year’s party pack here and have a blast!!!
  7. Do you remember a week or two back we interviewed David Melling the Author of Hugless Douglas, well he keeps a doodle diary and these are about his trip to South Africa, always good to read about your own country through someone who lives abroad’s eyes: Day 1 and 2; and let’s follow up with Day 3 and 4…

It is Bandana Season again… And if you haven’t noticed Bandanas are back in Pick’n Pay Stores… All over Pick’nPay Stores… this is a good thing because you can do so many stunning things with a bandana and buying a bandana supports a very important cause that is dear to our hearts, take a look at The Sunflower Fund Website and see how you can support them.
