So here we are: blazing summer sunshine and hectic wind!!!
Ahh! Summer is here and we have two reluctant weeks of school to go… but otherwise we are having lots of summer fun:
Shakes for breakfast:
Boating:
Camping:
Apples in a shady spot:
And haircuts:
The father person is on holiday for the first time in FOREVER, which means late night outings,
books on the couch,
And generally hanging around.
And just for good measure, and because I know you just love seeing our dirty dishes – guess what we had for lunch every day:
And we celebrated our Grandfathers birthday:
with a Book Fair,
how clever is that!!!
Our book of the week is:

This is about our all time favorite story collection and we are lurching from shady spot to shady spot after lunch every day and reading our way through this book!!!
And this is what the Hoods got up to:
Hood #1: The Journalist is in… writing our weekly newspaper: The CopyCat.
Hood #2: Is hard at work and I think his music teacher may be pleasantly surprised in six weeks time when lessons start up again. Nothing like leaving a kid to his own devises to see what he can do.
Hood #3: Read and read and read and even though it was the hottest weather in weeks she lived in her poncho because a girl must wear her sewing project regardless of the weather.
Hood #4: Spent the entire week whistling – and you may think this isn’t possible but trust me it is…
Hood #5: Well a man must eat his hat, especially if he planted it.
Hood #6: We were seriously gifted from a friend who had been to Australia and this little hood decided that the echidna, intended for all, was actually meant for her!!!
Hood #7: This little bed-thief discovered “the sleeping bag,” which means “needs sleep can crash”!!!
And has finally reached shoe status:
Too cute!!!
Hood #8: And then there is Mr. Oblivious…
He isn’t quite so oblivious anymore…
And we are so loving him to bits…
That’s us… Have a Fabulous Week!!!
