A friend of mine went to Morocco recently and allowed me to live vicariously… she gave me a whole lot of photographs to share and I have to say I so have the travel bug badly!!! A week or two in Morocco would be fabulous…
While my ideas of a North African country are hot and dusty…
Quite forgetting the blue skies…
With a little bit of sea thrown in for cool relief…
Amidst the daily grind…
And at the far end of a little wander…
One can always find the brighter side of life…
Where better than the market place…
And let’s face it there is nothing better than street food, wherever you are…

And finding a place to relax in the heat of the day…
Before heading out to the market at night…
But the things I just love… are the colorful tiles…
I have always wanted to visit Morocco… for now I am virtually traveling through a pile of library books, just the covers make me want to pack… and a good friends epic tales.

Before we all went digital, I used to have a summer job up in London at a colour photo library. Sort of place magazines and other publishers visited to buy photos. Looking at your friends photos brought back a long, long forgotten memory. I spent a whole day filing away photographs of Morroco. It looks timeless and the colours are amazing. Thank you for including the blue sky!

Morocco – I too had some preconceived notions about this place – heat, dust, rugged lanes – until I recently devoured a photo essay in the Lonely Planet magazine!
These photos are so awesome! Makes me want to go too. But only after I have had enough of South Africa. Yes darling – your country is what I dream of – of visiting again, after that last and latest trip! 🙂
