You know how we love Noordhoek farm village – love!!! Well finally we have a market there, in our very own south peninsula… This market has just been running a couple of weeks and every week we have been busy – crazy I know!!! I have been dying for something like this in our neighborhood for the longest time… no a little longer than that!!! And finally we have a Thursday night market where you can go out for supper with the kids and do some delicious food shopping and meet up with friends from the neighborhood…

I thought I would take you on a little tour…

Fun music…

Trestles loaded with good things to eat…

And pancakes…

And lovely bits and pieces…

And lovely little treats…

And wonderful fresh vegetables…

And tasty treats to try…

Trays of different lasagnas and moussaka and roast pork and pies…

And did I mention the pancakes…

And lots to look at everywhere…

And our favorite cheeses!!!… Imhoff’s Vynbos Cheese…

And flowers… hello flowers!!!

And delicious treats – with no additives or oddities…

I chose prawns for dinner… with chili sauce – I am going back for more!!!

The kids chose pancakes… And seriously waiting for those pancakes…

Seriously munching those pancakes…

And a quick walk past our vegetable garden to see how it was growing… awesomely… before heading home!!!

I have finally found my local “go to dinner spot” for us… fast food that isn’t junk food!!! So Thursdays from 4:00pm till 8:30ish… and take cash you will want to buy delicious things!!! Thanks Earth Fair Market for moving to the South… I just can’t thank you enough!!!

Everyone needs a place like this, within easy reach. Just perfect, and music as well. I wish our farmer markets had music. It would add to the atmosphere! Must be chilly. I spot hats and coats being worn!
Hay Cheryl… You are so right… when we were in the UK we lived on Farmers Markets and loved eating local… we so need that over here!!! And yes it is freezing cold and wintry and deluging rain… grotty weather unless you are sating in bed with a book and some cocoa!!! Lots of love and have a good week!!!
that looks like such a colorful adventure!!! i’d love to go just to take pictures… I wouldn’t even need to buy a thing if I could take pics of all that!! your pics are lovely!!!!!
Oh Katherine Marie – you would love it… A photographers dream, seriously rich and lovely colors all at that dusky time of day… lovely!!! Not to mention fine things to eat!!! Hope you have a good week!!!!
I so look forward to times when I can visit this sort of exciting place again. I adore markets and I love Earth Fair. My hubby and son are going this evening..Enjoy xx
Oh Colleen you will love it, get better first!!! My kids decided it was just too cold tonight… they do have heaters there, but my crowd were all settled under duvets!!! So they will have to wait for me to cook dinner instead of standing in line for pancakes!!! Lovely to hear from you and take special care!!!
What lovely giant pancakes! Were they sweet or savoury?
Hay Dawn, the pancakes were fabulous and they were sweet or savory…. I am trying to remember from all the different wonderful ingredients that were out: there was a salmon filling that looked lovely and of course nutella!!! We had sugar and cinnamon… with lemon… my kids know what they like!!! Hope you have a great week!!!
