You know we are fans of Yuppie Chef… and you know we love a fabulous project… and you know we love things like growing your own garden… and you put all those things we love into one glorious Eat For The Earth Event…

The project is inspired… a number of folk, anyone who wants to join in really, can host a dinner on World Environment Day – 5 June, and raise funds to support the most amazing grass routes project at Soil for Life. Soil for Life is a local organisation that teaches and trains folk to build their soil and grow healthy plants so that they can provide their families with safe and nutritious food all year round – just amazing isn’t it!!! I have a feeling we could do with some of that training after our very pitiful spinach crop this year!!!
You Are All Invited to Dinner on 5 June 2013 read on, read on…
Anyway, everyday at 10:30am (our time – whatever that time is!!!) the wall goes live with Yuppie Chef TV, and today, Day 17, was our turn…
We were introduced to the world of Yuppie Chef TV…

And there was a squeaky scurry as we gathered around looking for those special plants that needed a duck award…

Se7en + 1 dashing ducks on the wall…

And one person really wanted to be on the ladder,

But not in any photographs…

Meanwhile we joined the wall… there is a lonely little plant positioned on the grid at “se7en + 1: se7en + 1”

Yup that’s our plant between the little grey friend and the pink ears… a lonely little plant at the moment in the big wall of plants…

How Can You Join us for Dinner?
There are two ways you can join us for dinner on the 5th of June…
- Sign up and host your own meal: Pick an empty spot on the wall – and there is still plenty of room!!! And sign up… it will take less than a second to sign up!!!
- Sponsor our plant and join us: Find our plant, it’s at (se7en + 1; se7en + 1) between the little grey chap and the pink bunny ears… click on it and make a donation… and then enjoy a virtual dinner with us… we will post our feast and you can let us know all about yours…
We would so love you to be part of this brilliant project… really we would… if you decide to join us let us know in the comments how you intend to play along…
This is not a sponsored post, we were not paid at all to write it!!! But it is an important project and we would love if you could all join us… for dinner on the 5 June…
This is such a wonderful initiative, going to plan my own dinner for the 5th! Thanks so much for sharing this. Another great initiative I have heard about recently is this: http://10and5.com/2013/05/10/the-exchange-organ-donor-foundation/
