I have to say, I never ever ever thought I would blog about rugby… but the other day the father person was gifted with rugby tickets… I decided it was time to venture forth into the unknown (to me) world… of rugby…

Now I know rugby is big news around here, but I have a new understanding of just how big… BIG… the whole game is. I was pretty much blown away…
- Street food and jostling from miles around…
- The hallowed stadium…
- Under the open sky… THE COLD…
- The thousands of people…
- The flags…
- The who…
- The little details… And big dreams…
- The thinking things though…
- The following through…
- The standing around…
- The endless warming up…
- The fans…
- Oh my, the fans!!!
- The crawling around…
- The pompom girls…
- Really amidst the beer and the boerewors… there are performing pompom girls…
- The hot dinner at half time…
- The gigantic mexican Wave – Swirling…
- The score… or not…
- The noise…
- The autographs…
- The going home…

Is watching who?

And the twenty one + 1th thing…

Don’t forget the score!!!

The End…
So I don’t get the impression you will rushing to another game!
My husband and boys watch quite a bit of rugby but thankfully on TV, under blankets at home. Live watching of sport in a winter rainfall zone just doesn’t make sense to me – unless you are invited to a box!
Hay Debbie, Interesting that you picked that up!!! It did help that our team vanquished the enemy!!! And the food in the box was fab… but I have never been so cold in my life and my throat has been sore for days – from shouting over the NOISE, trying to find out the rules from the father person!!! So yes… I would go again upon invitation… but no I am not dashing back!!! Fun crazy times and definitely a life experience!!! Have a great week!!!
I just love the vibe and am the mad screaming person in the stand! Hate the pompom girls, just so…..yesterday!!!
Oh Tammy, I have to say it was very exciting and the vibe insane!!! But I have to say the six Pom Pom girls were a bit of a mystery… lost in the middle of a huge field!!! They spent most of the time doing not a whole lot, every now and then one of them would wave at the crowd and there would be a huge roar from the crowd – clearly there is some appeal… It is a mad, mad world!!!
