An Eventful Event – The Coastal Clean-Up…

Next Saturday is International Coastal Clean-Up Day… Our coastal litter isn’t just ugly, it is dangerous to marine life who become entangled or feed on it; beach goers and that’s us, how often have my kids had to step over glass or cans on the beach. We can do something about it. Frankly, the more we clean-up the better and even the smallest amount of litter that you collect will make a difference…

The Two Oceans Aquarium is inviting folk to the their Coastal Cleanup at Strandfontein beach from 10:00 – 12:00 on the 21 September, meeting at the parking lot next to the Strandfontein Pavilion. Gloves, bags and data cards will be supplied. Please bring your own water, sunscreen and a hat. For further information contact Katja Rockstroh (email: education@aquarium.co.za).
