I cannot tell where December went, other than to say that it went past really, really quickly…
A pearl of wisdom I received from an older friend was that when your kids are all at home and together, then seize the moment, take a photograph… and then just enjoy your time together. That’s what we have been doing… hanging out, busy with visitors and doing all the things that need to be done during December…
Carols were sung…
Cookies were baked…
And Jam was jammed…
And shepherds were watching their flocks by night…
And very secret shopping missions…
Birthdays were celebrated…
Meanwhile it’s summertime…
So watermelon as often as possible…
Beaches were cleaned…
Our ice-cream game has been full-on, as well as puzzles and boardgames… and books of course!!! ‘Tis the season…
While the father person is still on leave, I can’t actually bring myself to waste a moment sitting at a computer… so while so many folk are chomping at the bit and eager and ready for 2019 to get started, I am still thinking about the long lazy days of summer…
Our New Year Tree is about to go up… its a tradition we savour every year… and our weather calendar will go up on the fridge… but more about that in the next post.
Happy New Year! Have a magical 2019!
Hay Katja, Thank you so so much… wishing you the very best year ahead, with love from the whole gang!!!
