When Gold restaurant invite you to dinner and to taste their New Winter Menu… I can assure you that you had better drop everything and go!!! Trust me, we did and had another night of awesomeness at Gold Restaurant…

So the gang arrived…

And straight away we were well taken care of by our host:

We began with drumming,

Everyone was equipped…

And followed their leaders…

And my rhythm boy sure got into things really fast (think we need to get this guy his own drum)!!!

And the whole crowd went “YEA!!!”

A wander through the hand washing ceremony…

And settled into our table…

Our kids love how the drinks are poured, love…

And our chef vanished into the kitchen…

Trained up and good to go…

We need a stove top like this one!!!

And then we began… I know one doesn’t rapture on about tomato soup… but seriously, we all loved it… totally!!!

Just look at it… totally yummy, with a bit of bite… and served with vetkoek.

And then onto some delicious bites…

Lots of new and interesting flavors to try… you can take a peek at the menu for all the details and descriptions full of flavors from a Cape Malay Kitchen.

Clearly we like trying new and interesting flavors!!!

And then a break to dance…

And meet the puppets from Mali…

And then the next tray of dishes arrived at our table…

And we plated up…

And a little more dancing…

Of the incredible kind…

And these beautiful gals were not just going to stand by and clap!!!

Oh no…

And one of my little ones discovered she could hide from the huge puppets in the kitchen and still see the show!!!

And she was quickly put to work!!!

There was a respectful exchanging of hats…

And a flurry in the kitchen…

And no I could not keep my children out from under their feet!!!

And dessert was served…

On a tray especially for her father person…

Take a look – real gold sprinkled on top… you can hear the sighs around our table…

Somebody really liked the dessert!!!

And another magical dance…

With our friends…

And on to the final wild dance of the night… choose your partner…

Try your instruments…

And away we go…

Dance, dance, dance…

And that young lady in the pink hat went from table to table – inviting everyone to dance!!!

And this young man danced so hard that he actually danced right out of his shoes…

And that was us…

Another absolutely stunning evening spent at Gold Restaurant… Who once again provided us with superb service and interesting tastes and wonderful entertainment… and you didn’t complain with kids underfoot or kids “helping” through out the evening!!! Really we can’t thank you enough for an unforgettable evening!!!
