Sunday Snippet: Passport to the World – A Great GiveAway…

Time for a Great GiveAway for your kids…"Passport to the World: Your A to Z Guided Language Tour" (Craig Froman). In Genesis 11:9 the people of the world are scattered over the face of the whole world, divided by a babble of different languages. And we are commanded in Matthew 28:19 to go and make disciples of all nations… and while we aren’t traveling anytime soon we can pray for people from every corner of the world, in fact to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8). Here is a book that is packed with information and will enable you and your kids to pray for people around the world intelligently.

Hang on to your seats – this is a fabulous fabulous book… Grab your passport and travel your way round the globe through the pages of the book. Every double spread represents a language group and their country around the world… From Armenian to Zulu you will travel through twenty-six languages and their associated countries.

Each page well tell you a couple of facts about the country, how to greet a friend in their own language, a proverb from that country and some images of the local currency, traditional dress, local food… it is bright and fun and very inviting. At the back of the book their are a couple of fact sheets for each country and a couple of “Whose flag is this? and “Which country is this” quizzes…

Not only that but there is a sticker/stamp for your passport as you travel… and your passport is tucked safely into the front cover of the book… this is a fun book with lots of facts that made it interesting enough for my older kids to enjoy… but presented in such a way that my younger kids poured over it for ages.
