Anybody who reads our blog knows that I would love to write a book someday… So when Kristen Welch, from We Are That Family, who hosts a weekly link-up of tips from bloggers all over the world, and her friend Jennifer De Groot asked if she could use some of our tips in her just published e-book… “Well, I just died of excitement” doesn’t really describe the dancing and singing that went on here!!! So folks I am thrilled to announce that a handful of our blog posts have made it into a book!!!
Kristen and Jennifer gathered a treasure chest of tips and popped them into a book… Articles and blog posts that writers from around the world submit to their site every Wednesday. You can take a peep at one of over 800 fabulous tips, in twenty-four different categories, by heaps of brilliant bloggers… on this video:
This is how the book works: You need to be online to take full advantage of it – head for the category that you need help with… And then browse through the tips… There is a brief summary of each tip and you click on the tip to discover the solution on the original bloggers page. So clever… I just love it… You can take a look at a sample page here… I absolutely loved all the hospitality tips – how to be hospitable with a small home; hospitality for teens… I tell you the list of great reads just went on and on!!!
I love that we were tip number se7en, and that we had a homeschooling tip and a craft tip… and some hospitality tips!!!

Meanwhile, there is so much going on with this book… it is the launch like no other launch!!!
And together with their launch… If you have a tip you would like to submit… you can win the most awesome prize, wherever you are in the world: a free house cleaning ($150 Visa gift card to be applied towards a local company). So you might not need to, but I certainly need to submit a tip right here… before the end of April 2012.

A portion of the earnings go towards The Mercy House, which is a non-profit ministry in Kenya that provides a home for desperately poor teen moms. The provide a heap of help for these girls including: housing, prenatal care and and counseling and the home is almost entirely funded by Social Media – Big Hooray for mom-bloggers!!! I have followed the birth and growth of Mercy House, which was founded by Kristen after her life-changing trip to Africa with Compassion International. I am thrilled to be part of a project that supports Mercy House… really for me that is just the best!!!
I did receive a free copy of this book for review but that did not influence my opinion of the book. Also, my links to the book on our website are affiliate links, which means that I earn a small portion of the earnings for books bought through our website. I have to say that my review of the book was entirely my own and the fact that I love it is, like all opinions on this blog, entirely my own opinion too!!!
