The father person loves to cook so he gets weekend lunches: My only requirement is that everybody has to eat it – no separate meals for separate people. This is what he came up with on Saturday and I can live with these!!!
Let’s Meet the Players:
A trip to the market where he had gathered the players:
- Fresh Ciabatta Bread
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Sliceable Tomatoes
- Cold Meats: we had gypsy ham and black forest ham
- Olive Oil
- A spot of herbs and ground pepper
Let’s Play the Game:
Step 1: Slice Away…
The bread:
The cheese:
The tomatoes:
Step 2: Drizzle the sliced bread with olive oil…
Step 3: Layer it up:
The Cold Meats:
The Cheese:
The Tomatoes:
Step 4: Sprinkle:
With Herbs and Ground Pepper:
Step 5: Heat up your grill pan…
And pop your sandwiches in their for two minutes.
This pan comes with a great heavy lid for squashing your sandwiches down so they get those lovely grill stripes.
Step 6: Flip after two minutes…
Step 7: And two minutes later you are done and good to plate up.
Bon Appetito!
Hey, we were just talking about getting a grill pan this evening – and now what inspiration from the FP!! I didn’t know you could get one with a lid-thing – can you tell me where you got it from??
Hi H, We have been doing a pot upgrade over the last couple of months… The one pot and one pan that have been my entire “pottery” for our sixteen years of marriage were no longer sufficient for all nine of us, let alone ten!!! Now we just need to address the one working hot plate! Anyway the Griddle pan came highly recommended from our Celebrity Chef who got all the info from his cookbook (The Ministry of Food) – “Get James’s Pan, its the best!”… So we listened: It is a Jamie Oliver Pan and comes at an incredible price from Boardmans. You could probably get it cheaper where you are at the moment except it weighs a ton you may not want it in your luggage!!! Take care!
What a clever FP! Looks so impressive yet so easy to make them. He even completes the whole scene with the salad too! Really Jamie Oliver style!
Hi S – Isn’t he well-trained!!! He came like that and I am not complaining!!! Have a great weekend!
