There was no rain, but it has been cold and windy… and we are definitely following the sunny spots along the floor as we read stories!!!
The Vynbos is packed with color… no such thing as a dull day.
Plenty of crispy pink evenings:
Spring low tide in the morning and an awesome outing:
That’s looking back at Kalk Bay Harbor:
This is the offering of the week at my computer:
And then I went in the kitchen to discover a whole floral event:
Otherwise: New socks for new shoes… We have just done the annual shoe shop and the picture/post is coming… And no, most of my kids do not have any idea that two socks should look a like. Like why?
And since we are virtually touring Australia we had to have an Australian inspired book as our book of the week… and this is a book about a party and we had a Granny with a birthday, so an excuse for a spontaneous party… (like we need one!!!)…
So with quick paper chains and gift-wrap hats, balloons and an echidna cake… not to mention a few Australian friends we were good for a Happy Birthday Granny Ant, we love you so, wild song and dance party!!!
And now onto the hoods and what they got up to this past week:
Hood #1: Always the entertainer and had everyone riveted while he did an experiment…
Something about these faces tweaked my suspicions – and I still don’t know what they were up to… not that they know that!!!
Hood #2: Everyone needs one of these… a garlic peeler – I have raised a kitchen gadget!!!
He experienced the rack, and you will never guess who achieved it!!!
Hood #3: Proves that we don’t all wear jeans:
Maths in the morning sun and shared a joke…
Hood #4: Is studying animals around the world. And South America was the continent of the week…
Hood #5: Is telling me all about what each ancient civilization ate… he has studied it up!!! And not everything is that appealing!!!
Hood #6: She read some books:
And she invented a boom system for those entering the garden – if your school is done you may enter otherwise back to the table for you… Someone is on my team!!!
Hood #7: Has been setting up house for very small people all week…
And is indeed the play-do queen:
Hood #8: A very small boy munching his foot on a very big couch…
Trust me it’s hysterically funny and he laughs and laughs at his trickery…
And no we can not keep this little nut down – he is cruising along every surface he can find… at just se7en months I wish he was only just learning to sit – I should be so lucky as to have a child that sits in just one spot momentarily!!!
That’s us – Have a great week!!!
What perfect deliciousness!! Looks like a great week for you guys! We are counting down the days until we can swim here in Texas – should be any day now… 😉
I never leave your place without a huge grin and good hearty laugh! Those BALLOONS! YOUR activities! What joys.
Hi K, It was a good week!!! Everyday our swims get shorter and shorter (no more lingering around the pool!!!) and everyday I think “This must be the last day that I can possibly stand it…” and everyday is just one more swim!!! Hope you have a fun week!!!
Hay KM, Love that you love stopping by!!! How was that party… 20 minutes prep and ten minutes rowdy fun and done… but what fun!!! And that cake was good – got to hand it to that little cook!!! Hope you all have a super fun week!!!
