So it rained a fair bit, and then a whole lot more, and then quite a bit more… rain with patches of sunlight. We followed those sunlit patches around the house!!!
It is clearly winter and we are hibernating… lots of late mornings and thank heavens we don’t have to get ourselves to school in the morning!!! We did a whole heap of school work this week, we are two weeks away from half way through our year and I am determined to have everything up to date… And for once we seem to have everything under control: timelines, maps, journals… we could actually get this together!!! Well except for one stagnant reader who seems oblivious to fact that it has to be done daily, like “Huh? Reading?”…
So apart from all that educating there were fruit feasts:
There were artistic offerings on my keyboard:
There were walkabouts:
There were planks and balancing:
There were bugs:
And tiny beasts:
And endless painting:
And endless wheels:
Our book of the week: Anything by Mick Manning and Brita Granstrom is just brilliant, and we have been totally loving this book and packed with experiments and fun!!! I guess we will have to blog it!!!
And this is what the Hoods got up to:
Hood #1: Took delight in tricking his siblings with food coloring… delight!!!
Hood #2: Took on his brother online… and I don’t know who won!!!
Hood #3: Did more arting than you could ever imagine.
Hood #4: As usual I have nothing to say…
Hood #5: Was looking and learning the tricks of the trade.
Hood #6: This sweet calm face belies a certain energy!!!
Hood #7: Won an award for being the best tidier upper in the family…
Hood #8: And this is my descendant in every sense of the word… down and down and down and down and down… those stairs. Fairly stopping my heart!!!
That’s us!!! Have a great weekend!!!
Oooch! You mean the little man took a tumble down the stairs?
Ooof, had that happen a couple of times, and I know that whole heart stopping feeling.
No he hasn’t fallen yet… but this is ALL he wants to do… reverse down the stairs and then scramble up and reverse down the stairs and scramble up and reverse down the stairs… But he is starting to stand and on the stairs it looks so wibbly wobbly!!! I can do little else than stand right there and watch has he grows through this little obsession and finds another one!!! Sometime soonish!!!! Hope the weather cools off for you!!!
heheheheheh…. that bloody foot… when I first glanced at the photo I couldn’t believe he was laughing with an injury. What a SENSE of humor!!!!!!!!! I love that last pic too. :):)
Hay KM, Dreadful foot isn’t it!!! Hope you having a fabulous birthday celebration over there!!! Have a fun week!!!
