The Week That Was 3.46

Another week that was… It was slow and sluggish as we were in recovery after our bout with a bug…

And it has been cloudy…

Which means endless glorious sun rises…

And geese watching the dawn…

It turned out to be a serious week of play… tea-parties…

And duplo towers…

And mountains of French toast…

And rows of cars…

And recycle fashion shows

And wonderful visits with friends from afar…

And chalk dust… lots of it!!!

And books and drawing…

And heaps of arting…

Hours of painting…

And a certain amount of spying…

Of the dragonish variety…

And how could these feet have grown three sizes since February… and he isn’t even the kid I call flippers!!!

There was ironing… of shirts made so long ago that I am amazed they weren’t totally forgotten.

And after ironing his way through everyone’s t-shirt he discovered this one and tells me we need to do more spelling… because that says “junior coach”…

And there was reading of books…

And someone springing a surprise on their mother… it worked, nearly died of fright!!!

And winged visitors dashing overhead…

And the youngest member has added a new favorite to his vast collection of favorite books. So our book of the week is this one as he carefully packs in a bazillion new words a day. This book is packed with new words and lots of things to spot and find.

And this is what the hoods got up to:
Hood #1: Is never ever coming out of the tree.

Hood #2: Has planned a marble run to climb the highest hills and fly over the bumpiest bumps… it is still in the planning phase!!!

Hood #3: Laughed till she cried…

At her little sister doing charades!!!

Hood #4: The reading bug may have hit… I am holding my breathe.

And his life has life been made, by the arrival of a suit. He has wanted one forever – he calls it his tuxedo. And has not changed out of it since it has arrived.

Hood #5: And shapes, shapes, shapes…

Hood #6: Tells me it is so very imprtant to do arting… right… I will take the message and get onto that!!! This girl needs projects!!!

Hood #7: Has finally confessed that she may have had something to do with that haircut!!! Just a little trim mind you!!!

Hood #8: And a very little boy and a big big train!!!

In fact a whole lot of train fun for everyone…
